A 52-year-old women visited Seoul National University Hospital due to abdominal distension and pelvic mass. Under the impression of ovarian malignancy, total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, infra-colic omentectomy and
lymph
node
biopsy was done. Histopathological & immunohistochemical study demonstrated the tumors to be non-Hodgkin 's lymphoma of diffuse large cell type, B-cell lineage with the involvement of both ovaries, tubes, uterus, omentum and regional lymph nodes.
Bone
marrow biopsy was done postoperatively and revealed normal. She got one cycle of VBP(vincristine, bleomycin, prednisolone) first, then the chemotherapy regimen was changed to COPBLAM(cyclophosphamide, vincristine, prednisolone, bleomycin,
adriamycin,
procarbazine). After six cycles of COPBLAM, SHE shows complete remission at 7 months of follow up after surgery. Characteristics of primary ovarian lymphoma are emphasized with a brief review of the literatures.
